Chicken Camp on Loop 20
In honor of the grand opening of its third Laredo locale on Bob Bullock Loop, Chick-Fil-A is promising to award free meals for one year to its most devoted customers. Upon officially opening its doors here, Laredo’s favorite fast food chain will service its first 100 customers and delight their palates by awarding them one free meal a week for one whole year. Rumor has it that for those excited customers who decided to camp out tonight in hopes of securing the coveted prize, there is going to be a roll call every hour to ensure that the customers have remained on site. Only those who faithfully camped out will be rewarded for their venture.
The picture above was taken at midnight as locals indeed continued to camp out along with local media and were cheered on by some of our favorite DJs, including Sunny from “The Sunny and Al Morning Show.” Webb County Sheriff Deputies stood by to maintain order, but the crowd was not at all chaotic. They appeared to be enjoying their time amid family, their tents, a lively atmosphere, and a light drizzle as the hour drew closer to their free one year supply of Chick-Fil-A value meals.
