LEC to host Winter Wonderland
The Laredo Entertainment Center will host three days of open community skating on the arena ice during the holidays. Winter Wonderland will be open to the public on Monday, December 22 from noon-6pm, and the following week, on Monday and Tuesday, December 29 and 30 from 1-7pm. Everyone is welcome, and the cost is $5.00 an hour, which includes the ice skate rental. The hourly sessions are scheduled so that more people can have an opportunity to use the skates. Read more

Coach Rosco named president of Laredo Bucks
The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced Wednesday that Terry Ruskowski has been named the Team’s new President. Ruskowski takes over for John Beckelhymer, who left the team to puruse other business interests. In addition to now overseeing the business operations of the team, Ruskowski will continue to serve as the Bucks Head Coach and General Manager.
“Rosco will continue to coach, but he is uniquely qualified to be the leader of the entire Bucks organization”, said Bucks Majority Owner Glenn Hart. “I believe that he will bring the same passion and leadership to the business operation that he has had in the hockey operation” Read more
