New York City honors U2

Starting today and for a limited time only Irish rock band U2 was honored in New York City. NY mayor Michael Bloomberg has (briefly) renamed a section of the city’s West 53rd Street. U2 lead singer Bono thanked Bloomberg and the city of New York for the honor.
“New York is a place that people come to feel at home. And we truly do feel at home here in New York,” the frontman said. Each member of the band received their own version of the street sign “U2 Way”
Bono and Co. kicked off this week @ The David Letterman Show on Monday night with a performance of their new song “Breathe” U2’s 11th full studio album, No Line on the Horizon was released Tuesday and is expected to top album charts around the world.
