“Once upon a time…” “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” These phrases are much more than just the opening lines of famous books; for the citizens of Laredo, time is running out for them and their one and only bookstore. And just like in the fairy tale, citizens hope that Prince Charming –in the form of a major bookstore company – will come in and save the day.
But this is the real world, and unlike those fairy princesses, these citizens aren’t content to wait around for something magical to happen. They are going to make their own happy ending.
