Luis Soberanis, better known as DJ Piolo, is a native of Merida, Yucatan. This Mexican musical talent began to set the pace as the first drum in the marching band in high school. Soon, this constant drum beat led him to the turntables of a recording studio where he began to combine, remix, and create unique sounds and unusual.

His contagious enthusiasm and well coupled mixtures caught the attention of dance music connoisseurs and entrepreneurs, and DJ Piolo and became the star disc jockey several beach clubs and city since 1988.

For several years, was released in Southeast Mexico for its cutting edge and innovative music. Eternal promoter of dance music in the mid-’90s succeeded in drawing attention nationally and internationally, participating in festivals and celebrations in Miami, New York and Las Vegas. DJ Piolo contacted colleagues and producers in the global electronic scene, and applied their knowledge to mixtures presented night after night at clubs in northern Mexico, always well received by the knowledgeable audience.

Over time, DJ Piolo created a new channel to spread his passion for music, and thus arose Greenlight Records in Monterrey: Mexico’s first store specializing in audio equipment, accessories for DJs and a lot of music imported vinyls. Among the more frequent the store are in house, trance, tech-house, progressive and tribal.

Of course, the constant contact with so many new music store, motivates DJ Piolo to present in his sets always the most up to date with the best well-known rhythm and style.

DJ Piolo has shared stages with artists such as David Morales, Erick Morillo, David Alvarado, Mijangos, Deep Dish among others, and is undoubtedly the protagonist of the Mexican house/electronic scene.
