New Venue in Laredo: Le Modulor Electro Café

Le Modulor Electro Café a new concept in Laredo will open it’s doors to the public this Saturday January 31,2009. Located @ 611 Shiloh, doors will open at 4pm. Celebrating their Grand Opening Le Modulor is featuring special guest PUSH. Le Modulor will also offer drink specials with $2 drinks and domestic long necks all night long. So if you’re looking for a  cafe shop where you can dine out hang out, this is the place to be.

 

 

Rudy’s now open in Laredo

I was introduced to Rudy’s barbeque in Austin when a university study buddy set up a class meeting there. She swore that if liked barbeque, then I would looooove Rudy’s.  Upon arriving there, I was not sure what she meant, since at first glance, it appears that Rudy’s is no restaurant.  In fact, I thought it was a little weird that she had set up our study group at a gas station!  When I walked in, a friendly hostess asked if I had ever been to Rudy’s before.  Naturally, I shyly replied, “nnno.”  Read more

Taco Palenque

The best authentic Mexican food you can find here in the border is Taco Palenque. this is a must  taste restaurant. Headquartered in Laredo, Texas and established in 1987, Taco Palenque was founded by Juan Francisco Ochoa from Sinaloa, Mexico. Juan Francisco Ochoa and Don Chicho also opened several Pollo Loco franchises in Mexico in the late 1970’s and the United States in the 1980’s. In 1985, Juan Francisco moved to Monterrey where he planned to create a Mexican fast food chain in the United States.  In 1987, his plans came true when he opened his first Taco Palenque in Laredo, Texas.  The chain has now expanded to McAllen in 1998, Brownsville in 2001, San Antonio in 2007, and soon Nuevo Laredo, Mexico in 2008. Posh Sushi

One of Laredo’s top sushi places to visit is Posh Sushi with 2 locations: one in 414 Shiloh st. and another one in Del Mar and West Village. It has won 2 TASTE OF LAREDO AWARDS  for two consecutive years in a row. Check out their website and have a look at the Menu.
